University of Oxford - Department of Education in association with St Edmund Hall Grade 10a: Salary £42,733 - £57,431 p.a.

Applications are invited for a University Lecturership in Comparative and International Education. The post is permanent and full-time, tenable from 1 April 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter, and will be offered in conjunction with a fellowship at St Edmund Hall. The post will be based at the Department of Education, Oxford.

The department is seeking candidates who have completed a social science doctorate in an area of study of relevance to the post. He or she will have a proven track record of social scientific research and high quality publications in the field of comparative and international education, broadly defined and including attention to globalisation and its effects, together with a strong portfolio of teaching experience in this area. The main responsibilities of the postholder will be to contribute to the department's strong research profile in the REF; to lead and contribute to teaching of the CIE pathway of the MSc Education; to supervise Master's and doctoral students; and to contribute to the research-related activities of the Centre for Comparative and International Education Research.
